 Le Bristol Hotel  .. A 66 year icon in The city of Beirut

1- What innovations Le Bristol Hotel witnessed in 2017?

We had a year full of excitements, partnering with Preferred Hotels and Resorts, and thus giving the opportunity to Le Bristol guests to join a loyalty program giving access to 650 other Luxury Hotels in 85 other countries. Le Bristol is now part of the LVX collection.

2- Service improvement, updating? Your achievements within the hotel for the year 2017?

In 2017 we have kept working on improving our guest facilities and services and we will keep doing so in 2018. Here are some examples of additional services added this year : A club floor has been created giving multiple benefits to enjoy from a VIP club lounge access to limousine airport pick-up , in-car check-in, VIP in-room amenities, complementary neck and shoulder massage – also some bikes are now available free of charge to our guests who prefer to ride – a free shuttle to the largest ABC shopping mall in Verdun is also now offered – our roof top outdoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi have their temperature controlled all year long, allowing swimming in all comfort even during winter time. Here are only some examples of service improvements made last year.

3- How you contributed in making this Hotel a partner with the Preferred Hotels and Resorts? What does this step represents to Le Bristol as a Hotel on a local and international levels? To you as a General Manager?

Le Bristol Beirut existing since 1951, and being already an Icon in the city, we were looking at partnering with a chain of luxurious hotels allowing to join a global network of distribution and providing our guests with one of the best loyalty program existing in our industry where our guests can redeem their benefits not only at Le Bristol but also in 650 other properties in 85 other countries. This exclusive partnership was made live mid of 2017,with Preferred Hotels and Resorts adding a new destination to its network.

4- How much you personally contributed to render Le Bristol a distinctive luxury travel destination on a global scale? The direct benefits of this partnership.

Le Bristol is always pro-active in developing new partnership but also participates actively to international exhibitions in collaboration with the ministry of tourism. In 2017 the hotel has contributed to the success of Visit Lebanon, hosting the welcome diner of MICE famtrip at Villa Linda Sursock in Ashrafieh and will continue supporting other initiative in 2018 to regain visibility and trust for visitors to come to Lebanon and enjoy our hospitability.

5- What is on your agenda for Le Bristol for 2018?

Le Bristol Hotel has always been known for its catering services and has been appointed the official caterer of ESA in 2017(Ecole Superieure des Affaires) and we will keep re-enforcing the offering in this area. With 157 rooms available and 9 meeting rooms, including 3 ballrooms Le Bristol remains a great place for meetings and events and Le Bristol will keep offering the best meeting facilities.

6- What about “ Le marche de Noel”? Is it the ultimate shopping destination for this season? Is it luxury within reach?

The Christmas square second edition 2017 has been a great success with more than 50 exhibitors offering luxury at reach in several areas such as Art, Culture, Travel, Beauty, lifestyle, Jewelery, Fashion, House and Decoration, Gastronomy, etc. offering kids activities for the little ones while parents where shopping. It’s also the occasion for all visitors to select their Christmas hampers, Chocolate arrangements and Christmas decoration from our Christmas market being the first Marche de Noel in town to open: the ultimate shopping destination.

7- How much you benefitted from your cooperation with Villa Sursock?

Villa Linda Sursock is unique in its style by its location in Ashrafieh, its setting with five rooms and a private garden accommodating up to 250 guests. This is the ideal venue for social events and intimate weddings. The place is also often requested for arts exhibitions, private breakfast gatherings or most recently for Christmas fair

8-If you were to introduce changes on Lebanese Hospitality and Hotel Management Concepts….

The quality of hospitality in Lebanon is certainly of high level and we trust that the political stability and security level in the country will contribute encouraging visitors to come to Lebanon.
